No More Nuclear Power on Fault Lines: Protest at SF City Hall
Today i joined friends and anti-nuclear activists at San Francisco’s City Hall to demonstrate our opposition to operating nuclear power plants on known fault lines, specifically opposing the renewal of PG&E’s license to operate a nuclear power plant at Diablo Canyon.
A multi-generational crowd of about 50 people assembled peacefully, with small children, large puppets, and colorful signs. Over two dozen concerned citizens spoke out against the Diablo Canyon facility at a meeting of the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) taking place inside City Hall, including veteran Bay Area activist Starhawk.
